Give Jing a Jangle - Hosted Screencasting in Flash (for Mac Users too)
Started by Tinu · 5 months ago
One of my struggles in moving from a PC to a Mac is that there are very few suitable screen capture programs that can be used in the native Mac environment. I bought Camtasia Studio back in the day, and it works fine on Windows in Mac, but only within the Windows environment. So, if [...]

I've switched from PC to Mac early 2007 and loving it! Came across several switching inconveniences too, one of them is screencast software (as I was also a Camtasia fan).

I'll definitely try iShowU, thanks for the tip. And yes, Jing has many limitations, but it's cool for short things. I'd also love to be able to make better resizeable windows, or at least make them fit in the window better.
I saw that announcement for a Mac version of Camtasia. That would be a dream come true. Maybe we should have a Facebook group to show them our numbers?

Clicked thru from FB - :-)
I'm also a hard core Mac user since I-don't-know-how-long, I think at the time Elvis was still alive! - ;-)
Anyways - about the screencast apps - like Sherman, I use iShowU pretty extensively, but ... a new app has been spotted and it's BAAAAD!

Take care!
